About Me and My Practice

I’m Alex, a qualified Integrative Counsellor and Therapist. I offer face-to-face therapy sessions at City & East London Therapy in E1 at as well as online & phone session. I welcome individuals who are looking for both short-term work and longer-term therapy.

Counselling and therapy is always unique to you, and seeing a therapist can help with the range of struggles that we can experience in our lifetime. It may be that you have a specific issue that you want help to work through such as relationship difficulties, stress and anxiety, loss and grief, social withdrawal and isolation, a turning point/life-change, an addiction or behaviour you are concerned about, or abuse and trauma. It could be that you are feeling generally lost, stuck, confused, distressed, or disconnected, or lacking in areas of your life that you can’t quite pin point and want help to move forward. You may feel a more general sense of wanting to gain awareness and explore patterns in your life to improve your self and your relationship with others.

My way of working with clients in our sessions, draws on a range of different theory and approaches such as psychodynamic, relational, humanistic and existential. I value the importance of the unique relationship that can be created and developed between the client and therapist in order to help the client. I take a whole-person approach that encompasses the individual mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing.

Training, Qualifications, and Experience

In addition to working in private practice, I have worked as a therapist in a range of counselling settings including Metanoia Counselling & Psychotherapy Service and St Josephs Hospice Bereavement Service as well as work with Rape Crisis England & Wales.
