About Me and My Practice
I am a qualified BACP registered counsellor with experience supporting individuals through a range of challenges, including anxiety, stress, anger, depression, and addiction. I work with adults navigating low self esteem, relationship difficulties, trauma, shame, and loss. I also have experience supporting LGBTQ+ clients and those exploring questions of cultural identity, belonging, and the impact of marginalisation.
What to Expect From Our Sessions
Beginning therapy can bring up many questions and uncertainties: What is it for? Will it work? What will I talk about? These are natural and important questions. I had them myself when I first began therapy, and I have come to see that even resistance can have a meaningful place in the process.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and centred on you as a whole person, not just your problems. I do not see myself as the expert in your life; rather, we work together to explore what has brought you to therapy and begin shaping goals that feel authentic and meaningful to you. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to support this process. Creativity and playfulness are important parts of my work, as are mindfulness practices and Indigenous methodologies, which offer ways of understanding and healing that extend beyond Eurocentric traditions.
Our sessions may also explore the therapeutic relationship itself, how we connect, how attachment and past experiences shape us, and what patterns still influence your life today. Together, we can begin to ask: What continues to serve you? What no longer does? This can be the beginning of a deeper exploration toward understanding and change.
I work both in person and online. My in person sessions take place in Shoreditch, East London, in a private and confidential setting. We can work short term, medium term, or long term, depending on what feels most helpful for you at this time. Sessions last 50 minutes and can take place weekly or every other week.
Experience
I have extensive experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds, including in a leading private rehabilitation centre supporting people through addiction. My work includes supporting clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, self esteem, sexuality, identity, and bereavement. I also work with LGBTQ+ clients and those exploring sexual liberation, shame, and self acceptance.
